1st: thank you for all the happy day wishes yesterday. one day that 4 will have a 0 behind it. dear God. i'll be so old. elderly even.
2nd: i. am. so. behind. i've got loads & loads of pictures to show. several recipes to post
(to the food blog). stories. milestones. laundry. dishes. projects. etc etc etc.
3rd: i fed the husband doctored up cous cous & cresent rolls filled with Kraft singles & bologna for dinner last night. i think he may have side eyed my culinary prowess but kindly said nothing.
i tell you this only to let you know how seriously behind i really am. and how tired.
so, so tired.
anyway- lets start with pictures. pictures are fun & everybody enjoys them? right?
YES YOU DO!Current Loves:1. my new handpainted locket

do you see that? a perfect little log cabin & a sweet weeping cherry tree.
i request. she delivered. it's my life in a locket. i love it.
i'm not a big jewelry fan- but i adore lockets. and these round antique lockets are oh so fun.
i'm stoked that even when we one day move from our home
(to hawaii of course) i can pop open my locket & reminisce.

2. my new sloth necklaces:

i've been over my love for sloths. i hover between utter fascination & complete obsession. if someone walked up to me on the street & offered me a sloth, i would say
YES GIVE HIM TO ME NOW! no questions asked. he would be mine & i would plant a tree in my house for him & i would love him forever.
i adore them.
so the husband
(aware that our anniversary was approaching) wisely snooped around on my Pinterest page & spotted a pin i'd made.
he then went through the "hassle" of registering for an Etsy account & ordering me, not 1, but 2 of these lovelies.
when i opened the last night- i squeed. gah! sloths for me! hooray!
again- i usually stay away from jewelry- but come on? these are beyond presh. i'm wearing the 1st one right now.

(there is a mamma & bebe sloth one that i die for. but tis' only 1 bebe & i haz 2. booo.)What She They Wore:there are times when i squeeze my eyes shut & wish for limitless funds.
most of these times are when i am surrounded by the most perfect little girls clothes.
i want this one. and that one. and those over there. gimme gimme now. all of it!
so then i am forced to whip out my credit card &
pretend that i have limitless funding available to me.
HOORAY! I AM RICH! LET THE MONEY FLOW FROM MY POCKETS LIKE WATER! i will adorn my daughters in the finest linens!...and then i kick myself when i view my online statement on the 30th. damnit.
but it's ok- because they look oh so cute.

when i spotted this top at the consignment store i knew i had to have it. it is one of the most perfect little things ever. if i could make her wear it everyday i would.
i think the bloomers are a perfect summer pairing & she had on these adorable pink wedges:

but we traded them out for the Crocs because she loves them so.
and speaking of the Crocs- $30 for rubber shoes = insanity. but i snagged these ones for $12.99 at Marshall's. score.
