i think i'm at a 70/30 on being relieved to get back to a sense of normalcy, and on missing the girls. but they'll be in good hands, so that helps immensely.
honestly- a nanny over daycare is the way to go (for us at least)- besides being a bit more affordable, i feel like they'll get more one on one attention & less colds ::fingers crossed::
i'm 99% comfortable with our decision. 99% because i'm not even 100% with myself sometimes. seriously.
and now some picture overload- because i'll need to look at these tomorrow around...9am? oy!
let's start with some "what they wore"

our Yo Gabba Gabba shoes finally came (in the right size) so the first day she got to wear them was probably one of the happiest days of her young life. she seriously couldn't take her eyes off of them:

it was very dramatic- and hilarious.

meanwhile- brynn continues to be a rolling machine. and she laughs now- straight up belly laughs. it's too cute.
and then we took a little trip toheaven IKEA. alex had so much fun- and thankfully we went on a thursday morning so it was virtually empty- so she had free reign.

yeah- that slide was responsible for an epic tantrum/meltdown. we'd spent a good 15 minutes going up & down- and when it was time to move on alex was having none of it.
insert a kicking & screaming toddler. i got several looks of pity from other knowing mothers who had wisely skirted the slide area.
next time- i'll remember this. i blame it all on friend megan:

woops.
and brynn had a blast too- she was staring around in wonder:

then it was time to visit the Family Room bathroom (which is awesome):

and then we left. and after a nice nap, the girls chilled:

alex is slowly warming up to her sister. she actually allowed her to touch her foot. amazing. usually a "be nice to your sister" results in a stank face- like so:

so a lack of one = big steps.
and that's about it. i'm off to spend the rest of my last day home with my girls...and catching up on Teen Mom.
