i'm a simple person- so the highlight of my weekend may have been getting a free pastry at Panera (thank you Panera Reward points)
i thought about it all day friday- then friday night before bed & finally saturday morning when i woke up.

pastry = yum. free = awesome.
free pastry = yum awesome!!!
free pastry = yum awesome!!!
and since we have 2 rewards cards (one for me. one for the husband.) we got 2 free pastries. ::head explodes::
brynn approved as well:
(chillin at Panera)
when we got home (after i also dragged everyone into the shoe store in hopes of scoring some wedges- only to get nagged by the husband because he couldn't control alex & he loathes shopping so i had to cut my browsing short & leave wedge-less) alex was in hyper mode.
the term "bouncing off the walls" comes to mind.

...see?
(as you can see- the husband is still recovering from his foray into a shoestore. dear God. the horror!)
i'm a little concerned because she looks so..BIG in these pictures. when did this happen? where have i been?
denial much?
anyway- after alex's trip to 'hyperville' she made a pitstop at 'meltdown town'. so we dragged her outside because "outside" has magical powers & it makes all bad things go away.
for serious. epic tantrums are often cut short by simply mentioning the word "outside?"
cue: the heavens opening, angels descending & unicorns tossing ther glitter filled manes whilst trotting on streets of rainbow.
that is what "outside" means to an 18 month old.
hooray. chicken butt.
happy weekend!

BA-hahahaha!!
That is EXACTLY how my 17.5 month old (denial much?) feels about outside time! And if I say no? Well I might as well have stabbed that unicorn in it's sparkly heart!
you.are.too.funny!
ha! What pretty ladies~! Nice peep toes! ;P
I don't know what it is about being outside or "ouw-sy" as my daughter calls it but it does make everything better, even if just for a little while.
