thanks to gorgeous weather, the majority of the weekend was spent outdoors.
the hubs & his father finished up the chicken coop while i tried to convince alex that playing with her toys is far better than eating dirt & acorns. grandma came over on sunday so was another pair of hands & eyes to keep her occupied.
...the dogs tried to help too.
if these were pictures of me- they'd be awkward. but since she's alex, theyr'e simply cute.
you can clearly see the progression of her getting sick of me yelling "ALEX LOOK AT MOMMYYYYYY!!!"
the eyes. ::sigh:: many thanks to the hubs for the baby blues.
she was content to hand me pieces of grass & play with ehr new toy for awhile...
until she realized my shoes had holes. she spent a good 10 minutes sticking her fingers into them & squealing when i'd wiggle my toes.
then she got bored & decided to make a "run" for the patch of acorns & leaves that had been calling to her...
and she got very upset when i told her "NO" to acorns but "YES" to cheerios.
and then all of a sudden she seemed to notice the dogs. she made a beeline. max was quick and got away- but poor cessna...
but she was rewarded with cheerios.
cessna's a good girl. she tried moving away- but alex found her.
and that was that.

Why is it that I think the cutest picture up there is the one where she is upset about the acorn? Adorable!
