spring closet cleaning = Coach bags!

it's time for some spring cleaning. of my closet. specifically- bags.

(i also have my eye on the most awesome wall coat rack for Alex's room. it's literally perfect. PERFECT! i was gung ho on buying it until i saw the price tag- erm. yeah. wow.

this is the most expensive wall coat rack i've ever considered buying. for a child's room. what is wrong with me?

but i've decided i simply must have it- i MUST!)

so- i'm selling some Coach bags & wallets. wait, did i just say that?! oh my. yes- i did.

i love my Coach bags. i treat them well & purchase them more often than i need to. and when i can't justify a purchase for myself- i purchase for a friend. nice huh? you want to be my friend right? you should. i'm awesome that way.

so without further dudes- here's what's up:

bag: 2008 Large Madeline Signature Tote- Brown (& matching wallet)
dimensions: 14"L x 5"W x 9 1/4"H; 7 3/4"
price: $300 or BO (for both the bag & wallet)

SOLD!

this bag/wallet is in such good condition- i only used it for a few months & then i moved on to another bag & it's been sitting in the closet ever since (i'm sorry Madeline)

i really loved this bag- you can get an idea of the size from the above picture. it's actually big enough that i considered using it as a purse/minimal babybag - but i never did.

both the bag & wallet are brown with a pink liners (fabric liner in the bag & leather in the wallet)
both are very clean & show minimal wear & tear (as you can see from the above pictures)

it seriously looks almost as good as the day i got it. i can prove it- here's a picture from the day i got it:

Picture_or_Video_099
(excuse the dog cage & pee pad in the background. this was before i was aware of picture taking etiquette)

see? told you!

the only thing missing is that bow- and it was annoying so no worries.

this bag comes with the silk Coach dust bag & a bottle of Coach Cleaner:

(as you can see- brynn was invited to this picture party)

bag original retail price: $498
wallet original retail price: $198

your price: $300 or BO

next up:

bag: Signature Demi Pouch (& matching wallet)
dimensions: 8 (L) x 5 1/8 (H) x 2 (W)
price: $125 or BO (for both the bag & wallet)

i can honestly say this bag is all but brand new. i can literally count on 1 hand the number of times i actually used it. i think the number is 3- for real.

this was my first Coach bag & i quickly moved on to something bigger (because that's what happens people!) and i haven't used it since.

this is a Coach Original Collection so it still sells on their website: Coach Originals (though i don't think the wallet is for sale anymore)

it's a great size for going out to dinner or dancing (um...what?) or girls night or whatever it is that people do these days.

it comes with the white silk Coach dust bag.

bag original retail price: $148
wallet original retail price: $48
your price: $125 or BO

and there you go! if you're interested in either bag you can shoot me an email @ totally.bird@gmail.com

like i said- asking price or best offer. i'm pretty open to whatever. i priced them out based on what i saw on ebay & etc so they seem more than fair (since i'm including the wallets as well)
but if i'm way off base then feel free to let me know!

i purchase all my Coach bags from actual Coach Stores so everything is legit. the bags have serial #'s which i can give you if needed. i'm a bag snob- you can trust me. pretty promise.

if i can't get them to new homes via this post then i'll try Craigslist- and if that fails, my younger sisters might be getting some early Christmas presents. i'm pretty sure they have their fingers crossed for that.

happy spring cleaning!

(p.s. comments are off because i want to handle any questions- etc via email. alrighty!)

week/end in review

the week/end in review:

1. clogged duct #3: it popped up thurs night- i massaged, warmed, pumped, beat my chest- to no avail. it stayed with me through the night. friday morning had me at my wits end. so instead of her usual bottle i decided to offer alex the boob. with pleading eyes i watched her face as i unhooked my nursing tank- i think she sensed my desperation because instead of fighting me, she quickly latched on & took care of the clog. i almost cried- i didn't think i could love my kid any more but i totally did after that.

2. cold #2: drippy nose, slight congestion, red cheeks- all the signs were there on saturday, but i crossed my fingers anyways. to no avail. as i put alex down on sat night only to have her wake up 10 minutes later with a mucous filled scream, i knew. ugh. so i elevated, turned on the vick's vaporizer, upped the humidifer & pumped her nose full of saline. i suctioned and soothed and made her as comfortable as i possibly could. sunday was a day filled with saline, suction, boogie wipes & vicks. but i have to hand it to her- she was just as happy as ever. smiling, laughing, cuddling & playing- warms your heart.
i realized this monday morning that i forgot to check for teeth. i'll do that tonight- for now she's with her Nenea (my mom) who has mothered through more colds than i can imagine. she's in good hands.

3. Converse sneaks: little boys (& girls) look cute in Converse. this is a well known fact- so this explains why i dropped $30 on a pair for someone else's kid. $30 on shoes for a 6 year old, am i insane??? yes- insanely in love with Converse. if i have anything to do with it, he'll be the best dressed kid in 1st grade.

4. my love for mainstream music: the new songs on my iPod you ask?
All The Right Moves- One Republic
BedRock- Young Money
In My Head- Jason Derulo
Daughter- Loudon Wainwright III (this probably doesn't qualify as "mainstream"- but i love it)

these downloads had me dancing around WalMart like it's my own personal club (while i filled my cart with Boogie Wipes, Vicks, Infant Tylenol, lightbulbs & milk)

5. a new kind of low: begging my unmarried friend to get pregnant so my child will have a sure BFF. in my defense- she's not exactely preventing but not exactely trying either. but i did everything in my power to convince her that babies r kewl & having one out of wedlock is no big deal (even if she is Catholic).
she also mentioned that she's been thinking about getting a Coach bag- i quickly jumped on board with this & assured her that it's probably just as important that she adorn her arm with said Coach bag, along with providing my offspring a lifelong companion.
i'm a monster.

and there you have it. my week/end in review.

and here's alex- sick as a dog, but happy as a clam:

see that bib? adorable, right?! loves it!

i woke her up..

...on purpose because i wanted to feel her move. i'm an evil mother to be.
i won't lie- i jiggled my tummy a bit, drank some ice cold water & ate about 5 choc chip cookies and now she's up. she's been too quiet this morning so i just needed to reassure myself. aweful!

in other news: this weekend was lovely. saturday: i gave my Coach coupon to a very thankful husband/father at the mall. he was buying his wife a purse- lucky wife!

then i stopped at Banana Republic & found the most beautiful dress for $84.99 (down from $150!) it looked great on me & would have been a lovely shower dress- but i'm not paying $85 for a dress. sorry.

so then i went to Motherhood & purchased a pair of capris & shorts & a 38 E bra- dear GOD! all these? $101.00 (the extra $1 was for the march of dimes- yay!) i felt better about spending that much on 3 needed items rather than $85 on 1 un-needed item.

then i babysat from 6-12ish for some church friends. they didn't know i was ku so they were very excited for me- this also led to a conversation i had to have about periods & such with their 3 daughters (5, 9 & 10) they "knew" about periods, but were a tad confused about everything. i did my best but i ended up telling them to ask their mother. lol.

sunday was nice- we took my MIL out to breakfast & her & i got a carnation at the restaraunt- that was sweet. then we hung out with her & FIL (and i stole about half of the lilacs she had in her yard) for awhile & headed to my parent's.

i spent over an hour cleaning (my family is beyond messy) and then we ate & visited & such (my mother got me green roses). my mother then left to get my brother & niece (my brother needs to grow up & not make my mother do things- but that's a diff rant) and i had some words with my younger siblings about how rude, lazy & ungrateful they are. of course my 14 year old brother got pissy with me because:
1. he's 14 - duh
2. he's got Aspbergers & gets VERY angry VERY quickly among other things
3. he knows i'm right & he's taking advantage of my parents
4. etc etc etc

my 12 year old sister also wasn't pleased- but come on, she's a 12 year old moody teenager, what did i expect? and my 10 year old sister was a little more passive about it- she's got Autism (higher functioning but not Aspbergers like my brother) so she either gets reeeeally mad or doesn't care what i say) also my 29 year old brother has Downs Syndrome but is also higher functioning- so he has the ability to do his chores & listen to my parents, but he was also giving my dad a hard time. so he got an earful from me as well. the only one who didn't feel my wrath was my 18 year old brother who just moved back hom & has been really helpful to my parents- my 23 year old brother needs his ass kicked but i didn't have the energy & plus, i love my niece too much to risk him not letting me see her. ARGH! people!

all in all i think i got my point across- seriously, i can't believe my parents let them get away with the crap they do. we were NOT raised like that- this i just further proof that my parents are really freaking tired.

after my mom got back & i tattled on everyone (LOL) i played with my niece for awhile & then we left. all in all it was a wonderful day.

so yes- now i spend the next 8 days looking forward to CLOSING (19th) and the then my next U/S & Appt on the 21st ::squee: then we'll be moving in to the new place over the long Memorial Day Weekend. can. not. WAIT!

the weekend in review

#1. i practiced major self control & DID NOT buy this adorable Coach Hampton bag & wallet:

you're probably wondering how i resisted...and i really can't tell you. i had my 25% of coupon in one hand & the bag/wallet in the other & i just....didn't buy it.

the husband said "i don't know why you need it but, go for it"
the clerk said "oooh, that's one of my favs! perfecto for spring & summer!!!"
the fellow shopper said "oh yes dear- there is PLENTY of room in that for it to double as a baby bag!"

....and yet i couldn't allow myself to purchase it. maybe because (with the coupon) it would have cost exactely what our stroller is going to (that i have yet to buy) or maybe it's because i realized that i really don't need this purse (want, not need) or maybe alot of different things. who knows- all i know is that i don't have it but i still really want it.
i'm going to give my coupon to one of my husband's lady co-workers & forget about it. ::sob::

#2. i got my first stranger comment this weekend- yay!
Kay's clerk "when are you due?!"
me "sept 15th"
Kay's clerk "how exciting! i only asked because i could totally tell it's all baby bump- no question about it!"
me ::squee::

#3 i feel Alex kick & see her move more & more. i also tried to get the husband to feel (she was kicking HARD) but he didn't seem to get it. plus he was preoccupied with the NHL Play Offs. loser.

#4 we have purchased our mother's their mother's day gifts: a Swarovski figurine for the mother in law (this is a yearly thing) and a diamond Journey pendant & ring for my mother (thank you Kay's clerk)
they should both be pleased- i, however, am not pleased that one of the emeralds i my e-ring is so loose that it could fall out just by looking at it. looks like i'll be making a stop at Barmakian's this weekend with my warranty in hand. for real.

#5 is it bad that i have no interest in looking at baby clothes?! i went to a bunch of stores this weekend (inlcuding the always adorable babyGap) & i looked for about 5 min & then had to leave because i was bored. at this rate my child will be naked. poor thing.

aaaand i think that's it. my Level II u/s is tomorrow so we'll see what my stats are afterwards- otherwise, nothing new. still waiting on a closing date for the house (should have one this week) and then we can start "planning" things (ie: furniture & such)

and such & such :)

i got my "box of drugs" on friday- woooo. the receptionist is always dying to ask me what these huge boxes are- but she never does. good girl!

i went in for my supression check @ 6:30 this lovely, cold morning- jeeze- & everything looked good on the ultrasound & i'll get my bloodwork results & instructions this afternoon. i should be starting stims on thurs. or fri.

my holiday office party is on thurs- along with cessna's vet appt. to get her stiches out. i'm going to do about 1-2 hours of office party & then head on home. the husband said he'd take her- but i don't feel like sticking around at the party anyway. if i leave early then i don't have to do the yankee swap or deal with the "you're not drinking?" queries. nice.

this weekend went swimmingly- the husband was hunting all day sat so i got to run some errands & finish one of the scarves i'm knitting. then on sun we managed to go to the mall & pick up his mom's b-day gift & use t he awesome Yankee Candle coupons that i aquired from the paper- SUPER score. we also made a one stop shop deal at Shaws where we managed to snag 95% of the giftcards we need for our friends/families for Christmas. so all that's left is some baking and maybe 1 or 2 more store runs. i was pleeeeased!
then we went to his parent's for dinner & after we got home i managed to back the red velvet cake that hi work requested for b-days this month. i will frost it tonight & that's another $20 in my pocket.

hmmm- i think that's about it for now. i'm waiting, with baited breath, on the Coach coupon that is coming to me from another lovely nestie- with this coupon i shall purchase the matching wallet to my latest Coach bag! SCORE! my husband doesn't think it's a score- but i do. plus, if he can spend $700 on a freaking rifle- i can spend LESS than $200 on a wallet. so THERE!

ok- that's really that!! i'm going to work now. perhaps. meh.

ps: after my Coach excursion, i ended up with this:

LOVES!!! 25% off saved me $70!!! i would have bought the wallet buuut- it would have been more than the bag!! can you even believe it? sooo, i'll have to go back & buy it in a couple weeks- i MUST match when it comes to my bags/wallets. i MUST!
ok that's it. i have to go switch all my crap over from my other bag- squee!

this weekend produced:

thanks to the lovely Adkins- i went to the mall, this weekend, and in my clutches was a 25% off coupon to Coach- soooo after much debating, i left the mall with the following:

nice right?! it was either another bag or the glasses- obviously the glasses were WAY less and they were the last pair like it in the store, so i had to have them! i LOVE THEM!!

however, i also had to stop at the new Sephora and i left with a limited edition bottle of DKNY Delicious- yum! i'm usually a Clinique Happy kind of girl, but i just love this scent. mmmm.

obviously i also had to stop at Godiva...bad idea, but so good!!!! i was good, though, and brought most of them hope to brandon!!!

i aaaaalso decided to make Oreo Truffles:

i made a batch of regular & mint creme- they were a little time consuming, but sooo good!!!
i sent half of them off with brandon & i'll take the rest with me when i go in to work- however i'm working the late shift this week (11:30-8:30) so it'll be awhile before i can justify eating a few moreof them!!!

and that's about it- i was hoping to be able to post about a break cycle BFP but that is SO not gonna happen- AF is very muchly on her way- ugh. lame, infertile body! hopefully she shows up by tomorrow or wed so i can fit my FET cycle in around our vacation!! woo-hoo!
God Bless
