when the folks over at Baby K'tan offered me the chance to review one of the slings/carriers- i literally jumped up & down. i've actually been looking for a new carrier since alex has a need to be held 24/7. also, with baby#2 on the way, i know i'm going to need something in order to keep up with 2 kids.
so, after reading the direction (the VERY easy to follow directions) i popped alex in it this weekend- and she loved it! and so did i!
it totally takes the weight off your arms and back & while you still need to hold on while using the side position that i did, it makes life so much easier:

the Baby K'tan is a 6+ in 1!it's light (like a nice t-shirt material), comfy, stretchy & cute. they've got a bunch of colors & you can even personalize your K'tan!
each carrier comes with a matching hat & sash & instructions on how to achieve each carrying position.
you do need to choose your correct size carrier- and while they do have intructions on choosing, i'll have you know that i'm about 5'2 & wear a 5/6 dress size & i went with an XS and it's perfect. i was leaning towards a S at first, but the slings really do fit like a tight t-shirt, so the XS works for me.

I have wanted one of these forever! I LOVE that you can carry a child up to 42 lbs!! My son is 11 months old and only 20 pounds and with baby #2 I could really use one! :)

A K'tan seems like the Moby (which (I love) but with more options!
I love that they are so versatile and work for both infants and older babies. The fact that they look so comfortable is another plus!

It looks so much comfier than the carrier I had and got rid of. I think DD would love it and I'd get more stuff done.
I love that you can face your baby out, the ergo is my go-to but the no outward facing is totally a problem!

I like the fact that it looks like you dont have to do cloth oragami to make the thing work. I had a few previous baby carriers that I think I needed a PHD to use. This one looks simple enough!

I love that it is MUCH less complicated that a Moby (which I still can't figure out and my baby is 6 months old!).
thst it goes up to larger childrens weight! jack is big, and our sling is gettin all stretched out!

I love that unlike many other sling style carriers, it allows you to place baby in a more upright position as a newborn. K hated the cradle hold and much preferred kangaroo style holds. great for babies with reflux
