nusery is done! (basically)

OK! so the tree/bird decals are up, the paintings are hung & the glider is put together & in place! the clothing is folded, diapers are stuffed, closet is "hung" and the monitor is set up!

so everything is basically DONE! i mean, the poor dear needs more clothing & i need to get a few more "things"- but decoration wise- we should be good to go!

the tree was a pain in the assss to put up but we did it!

as you can see, i kept the bedding very simple. 1 sheet & 1 blanket.

my nesting pillow (ie: the "other" boppy)- i can't wait to use it!

these are the bird decorations from my shower- i didn't want to toss them so i taped them to the hutch- perfect!

her still (sadly) pretty empty closet (clothing wise anyway :)


her cloth diaper stash (14 so far...damn those things are $$$)


her drawers! i ::squee:: every time i open them :)

and there you go! 2-3 more weeks & there'll be a baby in there too :) !!!!

glider

the glider came in (early!) and the husband set it up last night:

and i LOVE it! seriously- i wasn't sure how "great" it'd be (plus i was still pining for my Luca Glider (sigh) but it's seriously awesome- specially for the price.

we went with the Storkcraft - Bowback Glider Rocker and Ottoman, Espresso Finish and ordered it from Walmart.com. it was only $160 and free shipping to the store.

it came in one box & the husband put it together in about 20 min. very easy.
no squeaking, the cushions are nice & soft & the color is a perfect match!

the dogs have already claimed it as their own. i "rocked" cessna in it last night & she passed out in about 2 seconds. when i couldn't find her later i went in & there she was- sitting in the chair like it had been purhased for her. she was highly displeased when i removed her & shut the door.
poor puppies.

the tree decal came in too- but we didn't have the time/energy for that last night. so maybe tonight. maybe.

baby stuff

sooo- we finally have almost everything we need purchased/set up- woot!

here's everything that we've aquired & put together this past week/end:

breathable bumper (wicked deal at TJ MAXX for $16.99!)

Graco SnugRide 32 in LemonGrass w/an extra base (in the car & ready to go!)

Angel Care Bebe monitor (all set up & tested out!)

BrentWood Baby Collection Swing (1st one had to be returned thanks to a squeaky motor- 2nd one is a go)

itzbeen baby timer (so i don't have to remember stuff on my own :)

14 of these bad boys, complete with extra insert & rice paper liners (all washed, dried, stuffed & ready to go!)

we also got:

blankets

onesies

more clothing

glass bottles

bath stuff

baskets

closet organizers

etc etc etc!

i think we're down to needing a few more diapers, more clothing, some more storage stuff, putting up the wall decal, hanging the rest of the artwork, finishing the closet, more bottles, breast pump, britax carseat (eventually), a few more blankets, burp cloths- blah blah. little things really (for the msot part)

i did finally pack my hospital bag- yay! full of clothing & food. awesome.

sooooo yeah- i think we're just about done, but i still feel like i have so much more to do. does this ever end?!

37 weeks- full term & 3 weeks to go!

i think she's dropped some- and looking in the mirror today, maybe even more. eeee!
