...Banana dreamboats are our go to camping dessert.

Slice a banana through the skin longways to make a boat opening.

Into the slit, put in mini marshmallows (or fluff) and mini chocolate chips. (some people add nuts as well, but I don't like them)

Then wrap them in foil and put them on the grill while you're cooking dinner. My the time everyone's finished, the dreamboats are all warm and melty. So good!katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02402353149116348472noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6392813728666980829.post-34608997059590322512010-07-22T15:07:18.388-04:002010-07-22T15:07:18.388-04:00I always take a fresh batch of brownies. But I bet...I always take a fresh batch of brownies. But I bet these would be yummy too!

Smores Bars
Source: Lovin In the Oven

1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 king-sized Hershey's milk chocolate bars (if you want a more subtle chocolate flavor use regular sized chocolate bars; enough to fit)
1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme/fluff (7 1/2 oz jar)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture and mix at a low speed until combined.

3. Divide dough in half and press half of dough into an even layer on the bottom of the prepared pan. Place chocolate bars over dough. 2 king-sized Hershey’s bars should fit perfectly side by side, but break the chocolate (if necessary) to get it to fit in a single layer no more than 1/4 inch thick. Spread chocolate with marshmallow creme or fluff. Place remaining dough in a single layer on top of the fluff. This part can be tricky. I made little disks with the dough and formed them into a sheet on some parchment paper then transferred it over. Spread it around gently.

4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Makes 16 cookie bars.

I haven't tryed 'em yet. I just saw the recipe this morning on http://thegirlwhoateeverything.blogspot.com/ but they sure do look yum-o!Kristy Villahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10127266439052328420noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6392813728666980829.post-37938926830836506212010-07-22T15:05:04.957-04:002010-07-22T15:05:04.957-04:00You can't get much simpler then this; it's...You can't get much simpler then this; it's a WONDERFUL summer treat and always a hit at gatherings/events!

Fruit Cups
- 1/3 cup Strawberry Jelly (I use
homemade)
- 1 cup Lemon Yogurt
- 1 1/4 cup Berries (raspberries,
blueberries, strawberries, etc)
- 25 Mini Fillo Shells

Instructions
1) Warm fillo shells according to
package directions.
2) Place 1 tsp jelly in shell
3) Mix together yogurt & berries
(reserve a few berries), spoon
into shell
4) Top with berries.Phoenixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10024094647140425577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6392813728666980829.post-54986299559981184532010-07-22T13:14:50.544-04:002010-07-22T13:14:50.544-04:00Poppy Seed Cake
